HOW TO WORK FROM HOME LIKE A BOSS?
The La Michaux team loves to work from home, what about you? The current world changes has made working from home the new "normal". If you've found yourself working from home, well WELCOME to the club!

You're spending lots of your daily time on work - and we can't emphasize enough how precious time is - so you'd better make work at home, fun and easy.
Here are some of our daily practices to help you navigate this new style and make the most out of it.
1. SEPERATE WORK TIME AND REGULAR TIME
When learning how to work from home, one of the most important and basic things you can do is to create a regular schedule for yourself. Time management is the most important thing and we do know it’s tempting to give yourself total flexibility as to when you get started, take breaks, and call it a day.
However, you’re doing yourself a disservice if you don’t keep your schedule consistent. Setting yourself regular hours keeps you accountable to yourself and to your boss. It makes you more likely to get all your work done, and it makes it easier for people to get in touch with you.
2. CREATE YOUR " SACRED " WORK SPACE
When you’re starting to learn how to work from home, it might be tempting to work from your couch, easy-chair, or even from your bed, but this could take a huge toll on your productivity. One of the best working from home tips I can give you is to try to always work from a consistent room, desk, or chair with lots of natural light, to tell your brain that it’s time for work, not relaxation.
Make your work space " sacred " and inspiring. My must-haves include fresh flowers, crystals and incense sticks. This makes me feel creative, energetic and " in the zone ".
3. DRESS UP FOR YOURSELF
Dress for success! Yes, even when you won't be interacting with another person all day. This includes showering and brushing your teeth! Sweatpants and a T-shirt might be more comfortable, but you may also feel sluggish, sleepy, or unmotivated.
Our team's outfits always include a bikini top like for example the MIMOSA BLACK TOP or FIERCE WHITE TOP combined with wide leg pants and a white t-shirt. And yes! Most of our tops are supportive enough to wear instead of a bra! Perks of working from home :-) .
4. BREAK UP THE DAY
Make sure to get up from your desk during these breaks and let your body and mind charge. Go and get some healthy snacks, wear your favorite La Michaux bikini and soak up the sun at your balcony or backyard.
A quick exercise or yoga shouldn't be underestimated when you want to feel fully charged after your break.
We find it super important to stay in touch with other like-minded people within our industry and colleagues. Some people are better at working alone and from home than other people.
To not feel too isolated at times, make sure to plan in ZOOM meetings or a quick ( Face Time) call. It might give you a new perspective and energy boost that you didn't know you needed.
